Digital Criminal Justice

Project/Area Lead(s): Muzammil Quraishi

Digital Criminal Justice is a developing area of research and teaching for scholars at the University of Salford. In particular, this employs cutting-edge criminological and sociological research to explore the various ways the digital is impacting and changing the nature of criminal justice systems and processes.

Topics explored include the use of body worn cameras by law enforcers; cybercrime; digital courts; and smart prisons.

This area of research is part of the University of Salford Criminal Justice Hub, and is taught as part of The Criminal Justice Process masters programme.
